Happy Birthday Mommy!!

Well, I changed my work schedule this week to have a 4 day weekend, so we would have time to spend together!! Friday is going to be mommy, daddy, Brayden day and we are not sure what we are going to do but we do know that we are going to spend the day together!! I am so excited!! On Monday my mom came up and spent the day with Brayden and then colored me a picture and made me a cake!! Brayden has never made a cake before, I think I know why now!! It looked like a messy adventure, a good task for a grandma I think!! Brayden is continuing to learn new words and phrases every day, but continues with his favories: Truck, mou, choo, choo, mine and so on. Here are a few pictures of Brayden's day with grandma.

Blah, Blah, Blah, BLah

We have a super talker this week. He is saying a new word every time he hears me talk I think!! This week I was on the phone and said BLAH, BLAH because I didn't want to tell all of the details of a story and Brayden picked up on it right away!! When Brayden was 6 months old or so we would say BLah, Blah Blah to him and he would laugh hystarically over and over so it was fun to hear him say it to us now, and we laughed!! He is also saying any other word he wants to that we say!! 

 His favorite things are trucks and trains, and he likes them even more in real life than toys or the computer! We could never have enough moving things to keep him happy!!

This past week he also started hurting himself, or pretending he hurt himself and asking us to kiss it!! Once we have kissed it it is all better!! Neither one of us taught him that so we don't know where he learned it, but hey I get to kiss him and it makes him better! I think we win either way!!

Brayden is still sitting in a big chair for meals!! He doesn't want any special treatment, and wants to sit just like us, but he wants special food!! He is pickier than I could ever imagine, we give him new foods, and he hardly touches them!! He is definately a staple food kind of kid!!

I got a new camera this week, and have been taking tons of pictures trying to figure it out!! I am not too good yet, and haven't even gotten through 75% of what it can do, but it is fun to play with!! I love it!! Pardon any fuzziness in the pictures, I will get better!!

The Happy Dance

Well, after a few more days of temperatures, grouchiness, teeth hurting, and everything else that goes along with it, we have still had some new funny stories!! He has started over the last few days when he gets really excited about something, and it could be anything doing a little dance!! I call it the HAPPY DANCE!! I love it, his little feet go so fast, and he gets the best look on his face that I think I would do anything to see him that happy!! I am telling you that every day this little guy comes up with a new way to get mommy to fall even more in love with him!! Seeing him do his dance with a big smile makes even the hardest day GOOD!!

He is still daddy's little helper and wants to participate in everything he does!! He is becoming more of Daddy's boy every day, and I hate it!! But at bedtime he is still my guy and I will be holding on to that as long as possible!!

Another SICK DAY!!!

Well, it is 2 weeks ago today that we finished our antibiotic for the last ear infection, and once again we are taking an antibiotic for an ear infection in the same ear. They think that his last infection cleared up and came back because of his teething. We have been thinking his 2 year molars have been coming in for a few weeks now, and they are still not there. It is so sad to have our little guy walking through the house saying "My mouth hurts" or "Owe my mouth"!! I can't wait for these teeth to come in and not have to worry about any more teeth for quite a few years!! The good news is, I guess, that because they think the recurrent ear infections are due to teething that we don't have to do tubes up to this point anyway!! I had a quick vision when I found out he had another ear infection of putting him on a table and having to leave him crying to go to surgery to have them placed!! I quickly came back to reality and put that out of my mind!!
