20 months has been a difficult stage for mom. Nolan has mastered his control of mommy, he knows my soft spots and uses them to his advantage!!! Today was a perfect example, I hate dropping him off in the morning and him screaming when I leave!! Today was the extreme when it comes to him being upset he screamed at any familiar sight and everyone was aware he didn't want to be there!!! I actually walked out not knowing what to do with him either go home, take him to the doctor, or go back in!! I could hear my husband telling me to go back in but the guilt was bad for me. One of Brayden's old teachers followed me concerned and saw Nolan playing and laughing in the car!!! Talk about reality check!!! We went back in he was better and had a good day!! Thanks to his teachers I got updates throughout the day to reassure me I did the right thing!! Praying tomorrow will be easier!!
On a brighter note the boys have been busy outside, we just got back from our annual cabin trip with friends!! The boys, all 3, had a great time and so did I!!! The Rhino was a huge success at entertaining and putting the boys to sleep!! Brayden swam for hours at a time with Lily!! We feel so fortunate to have such great friends!!! Looking forward to next year already!!!
Donny had another birthday!! We traveled that day but I think the weekend made up for it!!!
Nolan is saying more words than I can count and very consistent!! He gave up his pacifier for good and it went way better than I could of imagined!! When he gets something in his mind there is no changing it!! One day he threw it at us and said and signed "All Done" just like that it was over!! Why must they grow up so fast!!! Nolan is a strong willed, happy when he wants to be, very verbal, very loving little guy who loves attention and love from all!! His favorite teacher left the daycare and I think he knows and secretively is not happy about it!!!
Brayden is loving YMCA camp and getting nervous about school!!! He's going to do great I'm sure of it!! We should find out who his teacher is tomorrow, we are just hoping his friend Erra is in his class!!! Fingers crossed!! He started soccer this week and this year they play positions, have practices during the week, and are starting to learn the real game!! Should be interesting!! One of his friends from last season is on his team and he is happy about that!!! The dekalb teachers are throwing around the idea of a possible strike so we are anxiously awaiting the decision!!
