Well our Fourth of July was not a normal day this year! It started when Brayden work up with a swollen eye and we were not sure why. We had been at a baseball game the night before till late and were not sure if it was from a bug bite or a fall on the playground. It just looked a little swollen and it wasn't bothering him at all!! Then we were outside playing and we heard a loud scream from Brayden and he had got stung in the face twice by a bee or bees!! Poor kid was so upset and ofcourse his little face was swelling already!! I put some ice on it for as long as he would let me but it was just getting worse. After we got him calmed down and not mad at the bees anymore he fell asleep with a bandaid on his face covering his nose!! I was watching him sleep like a hawk (I was worried about an allergic reaction), but all went well!! Donny went to get his mom because she was coming to our house for the night while Brayden slept!! When he woke up his face was swollen even more, but nothing compared to the next morning!! Donny and I were heartbroken!!
We did not do much else for the Fourth, we watched fireworks from our neighborhood and made smores in the back yard!! Brayden loved the fire in the back yard and cooking marshmallows! He even ate a smore, which was a surprise to me!!
We woke up the next morning and his one eye was swollen shut, he kept asking "Not sure why I can't see out of this eye" Poor kid!! I called the doctor and continued Benedryl for the day and thankfully it continued to improve throughout the day!! We searched the whole back yard for bees nest a
nd found it and got rid of it!! Brayden shutters at the sound of the word bee right now!! Well he is just proving to us again that he is tough!!
