Decorating the Pumpkin....for a 16 month old that is!

Brayden and I went to the grocery store yesterday morning and he really wanted this little pumpkin, so I got him one. I had no plans to do anything to this pumpkin but this morning when he woke up and wanted the pumpkin I found some stickers and thought that this was a good opportunity for practicing with stickers for the first time. He loves stickers, and had a lot of fun decorating his pumpkin with them. I guess we will have to get more stickers and things to decorate. I just don't want him to think that he can put stickers all over my house!

Yesterday we went to the park for the third time this week and Brayden finally decided that he would go down the small slide all by himself. He did it, and was so proud of himself he did it again and again. It was so precious!!

The Long Awaited Costume has ARRIVED.....

I have said for about the last 10 months that Brayden would be BAM BAM for Halloween this year! I ordered the costume and it has finally arrived!! He is going to be so cute, I can't wait to see it. I haven't tried it on him yet, but can't wait to!!

Brayden did not get to excited about the costume, he really had/has no idea what or why I bought it. He acutally had more fun with the box than the costume....

Playing at the Park..................

As everyone knows our little guy loves to be outside every minute he can. He will do anything to go outside and bang on the windows if we won't take him. Since we have had such beautiful weather this week on my days off I decided to take him to the park both days and he is getting really good at running around the equiptment. He is also getting more daring by the minute. He will try anything but the swings, whatever you do don't put him in a swing!!!
Here are some pictures that I got:

Another new toy, he could get use to this.....

Brayden got some new Mega Blocks this week from his Aunt Karshawn, and she couldn't of found a better gift. He loves to build them, watch us build tall towers and help ofcourse, and really LOVES to knock them down!! They have given him hours of play already!!! He does such a good job building things, it has really impressed us.

Brayden is FAST, and is a kid that knows what he wants, when he wants it!! Everyone tells me that I should be on top of this now before it gets out of control. He frustrates me sometimes, and then I pick him up and I just want to kiss those cheeks, I can't help it, he is just so dang cute!! It is easy for everyone to tell me to put him in time out, or hold to my word, but I can't get over all of his cuteness.
Brayden is back on a not sleeping kick. We thought it was because of his late afternoon nap, but with that gone we are still having the same problem. He wakes up mad, won't settle down for a little while, which in turn means that he is missing out on some valuable sleep time, and so are mommy and daddy!! We have no idea what could be causing it this time, we will just have to wait and see and hope it turns around soon. Otherwise we might have the only 3 year old that refuses to sleep through the night. You never know it could happen!!

Well this week has been interesting and caused me to be done listening to whines and grunts for Brayden to get what he wants. The kid can talk when he wants to so this week we started learning words for things he wants, and I have said that word multiple times till he picked up on it and started saying it when he wants it. We learned "UP", "DOWN", "MORE", "THANK YOU", "PLEASE", "OUTSIDE", "INSIDE", "SNACK" and I think that is all. Not only does he know these words but he knows what they mean to!! I thought it was pretty good for a few days!! I have been hearing alot less crying these days and alot more talking.
Brayden is now a champ at taking off his own diaper too, we must put pants on him right away or he will have no diaper on before we know it. Silly boy!!
We have finally elimated his late afternoon/evening nap and have him on one nap per day just after lunch. It is a hard time sometimes but it has been working out ok. He is also doing really well with putting himself to sleep and not getting so grouchy!! He just falls asleep on his blanket and then we put him in his bed!
He is getting so big so fast, I can't get over it. He can reach the counters easily, and we often find him with things we wouldn't expect like a package of buns, bananas, and whatever else we leave on the island!! We are learning!!
