Daycare ;(

This is Brayden checking on his brother!! One of his favorite teachers takes him to see his brother in the infant room a couple times a day!! He can't go in so he stands outside the door and they hold him up for him!! He really loves him brother!! They sent me this picture and it brought happy tears to my face to see it!! I have been so blessed with these boys!!!!

Nolan was asleep on his first day when Donny dropped him off, but awake other days and he doesn't seem to care to be handed off to his teachers!!! It sure does make it easier to hear that!!!

Busy Week!!

Well its been a while since I have posted, its been a little crazy around here!!! I have made it through my first week of work and the whole family is still alive! Donny made it through getting 2 kids to school all by himself, Brayden has made it through having to share daddy for an extended period of time and having his brother close to him at school!! Mom made it through being away for lots of hours at a time!! That is a huge accomplishment at this point!! The hours away are really long and that is definitely the hardest part!! The first day he was mad at me and didn't smile at me until the 3:30 feeding when he played with me for an hour and a half!!! Whatever it takes to have a happy baby!!! Nolan is starting to enjoy having time without being held, he plays on his play mat and likes to sit up and be played with too!! Luckily this should make daycare a little easier!! He is still trying to roll over from his back to his belly but can't quite get it!! He keeps trying though!! He loves to watch his brother play and always seems to find "Mommy" wherever she is in the room!! Nolan also likes to look at himself in the mirror, he will stare at himself for quite a while smiling!!

Brayden started swimming lessons and he enjoys them but says they make him tired!!! He is doing really well so far and there are only 2 kids in the class so he should learn a lot!! We found out we register him for kindergarten on April 8th!! I can't believe that is really happening!!

The weather is suppose to start to warm up this week and I am so looking forward to it, it has been quite a challenge having a winter baby for me and I can't wait for a walk outside!! A little exercise and fresh air sounds very refreshing right now!! I can't wait for Brayden to ride his bike and get rid of some energy!!!

 

Laughing...

Nolan is consistently laughing!! I finally was able to catch it on video and its the cutest thing ever!! I am enjoying every moment of cuddle time this week from both boys before heading back into the craziness of being a working mom!! I truly have enjoyed and needed every moment of time off work with this one!! I did much better staying uninvolved this time around too!! I am going to soak it all in till the second I have to go back!!! The day I go back to work is a banquet to honor employee for many reasons, I was invited for being there 10 years and was happy to  be working that day so I didn't have to make up an excuse not to go. Well my manager texted me today wanting me to go!! Its my first day back to work and already going to be a long, sleepy, stressful day so I am just not sure I am up for it!!! Nolan still has no idea what he is in for next week, but will get a taste of it on Thursday!! I am anxious and scared of how he will be both for them and for daddy!!! It is so nice now to have a back up for him since he started having "fussy time around 5 or 6 till 8 or so. I thought that maybe we would be free from fussy time, and I know that it will not last forever, but that 5 weeks early hit us I'm afraid!! Nolan is starting to stay awake more consistently for longer lengths of time. He is frequently awake for 1.5-2 hours with each feeding, then sometimes takes a short nap and sometimes takes a long nap!! He continues to eat 5 ounces about every 3-4 hours!! He weaned himself down to 6 feedings per day, but thinking maybe he is in between growth spurts! Who knows!!

Brayden starts swimming lessons this week, and he is SCARED!!! He is not scared of the water, he is scared because there will be no mommy or daddy in the water with him!! I keep telling him he has to learn to swim so he can go down the big slides at the pool this summer because they won't let him wear a life jacket!! He has to be able to swim about 10 feet on his own. I have really enjoyed watching him over the last 3 months!! He is growing so fast. Last night we were at a Baptism celebration and I watched him interact with older kids conversing about video games and he was actively a part of the conversation!! So impressive for this mommy to watch!! After the party we asked him about it and he replied so grown up like with "Well, it was a little boring at times". He had to wait in line for ever a balloon sword!!! Love to see the world from his eyes and look forward to every conversation I get to see him participate in or have with him!!! Kids have such a refreshing outlook on life!!

 

He found his hands!!!

Nolan again continues to get bigger and meet more milestones, this week he found his hands and is mesmerized by them!! I don't remember much about when Brayden did first things, so I find myself using the blog to see how they compare often!!I notice that Nolan was born early at times and other times I don't!! Nolan continues to like to be held all the time even when he is sleeping during the day!! He is going to get a little surprise after next week when he goes to daycare!! I again hate the fact that I have to leave him but know it will all be ok this time around!!! Look at how good the other one turned out so far!!!

Yesterday Brayden woke up with a runny nose, not bad just a little, Donny asked him how he felt and he replied with "I'm sick", Donny asked what hurts and he told him his "Red Lips hurt"!! To make a long story short he stayed home with Nolan and I and got to spend the day playing video games and drinking sweet tea, but was not really sick!! I think before kindergarten starts its not too bad to let him play hooky a little!!! I enjoyed my day with my boys too!! Win/Win!! I don't have much more to report this week but a ton of pictures!!!
