Monkey See, Monkey Do...

My little monkey will now copy anything you do. He thinks it is funny to fall over laughing and roll around on the ground after seeing daddy do it once. Now we see him do every chance he gets!! He makes funny faces back at us now, well, he pretty much does anything he sees someone else do. His new favorite toys are little match box cars and everytime he goes to Aunt Karshawn's house he steals one from the boys to increase him collection. Yesterday he stole a race car and wanted to sleep with it!! This kid was probably afraid he wouldn't find it tomorrow in his mess of toys!!! When he woke up in the morning he told me he wanted his new race car, and then played with it for an hour!!
He is starting to get his colors right every time. We are asking him the colors of things when he asks about them and he tells us annoyed like "come on I know this already".
He hasn't been sleeping very well, he is waking up in the middle of night crying for us and then staying awake till it is really time to wake up. We feel so bad because we are sure crying will make him cough so we don't let him cry!! We are getting ourselves in trouble for sure. But he is such a happy baby most of the time I don't like to hear him upset or sad and definately don't want him to start coughing from the allergies. They seem to be doing better with just the Zyrtec, so hopefully we can buy ourselves a little more time with that!! He grew out of his milk allergy and we are hoping he grows out of this one too.

Bowling is one of his new favorite games, he throws the ball from 2 inches from the pins so maybe we are not  quite ready for real bowling...

Playing in the RAIN

This week we finally had a rain that was just a peaceful sprinkle, no fierce winds or down pour and Brayden went outside and played in it!! He loved it, it took us a while to get him inside!! He was eating a cookie and running through the back yard!! It amazes me that playing in the rain, and all those other things that are not toys but he finds to be fun!! He loves toys don't get me wrong, but he likes anything new and they could entertain him for hours too!!

This week Donny and I started taking Brayden on walks regularly without a stroller, and he is doing pretty good. He loves to hold the dogs leash and tell Moe what to do!! It is funny, he can't hold the leash all by himself since Moe is 100 pounds and pulls frequently, but he thinks he can hold it by himself!!

As far as new things that he has said this week he now tells me when I put him down in his bed at night "see ya in the morning mom", he also said to me this week "u beauttiful mommy"!! That was one of the sweetest things in the whole world!! He is also getting really good at recognizing animals and making their noises!! He knows way more than I thought!! He also knows more body parts that I knew he had picked up on like cheeks, teeth, tongue, knees, elbows, belly button, he can pretty much tell you anything!!

He stopped and got mommy a cupcake so we could eat them after a long day at work!! Yummy, I love these cupcakes, and lucky for me so does Brayden (and he ate half my frosting)

He loves going under water even in the bathtub, we gave him a mohawk!!

He was wearing Daddy's baseball shirt, it was as big as him but he loved it!!

We wanted to get Brayden one of these for his birthday but was not sure how he would like, he loved it and loved playing with his best friend Dessa (according to her) Soooo Sweet!!!

It's been a while...

Well, it has been a while since I have posted. It has been a busy week to say the least. Brayden was cleared last week about his elbow cellulitis and then come early Monday morning we had to take Brayden to the ER because he couldn't get his breath with a croup episode!! After a few hours in the ER he was back to his normal self!! Thank goodness he is doing better now. We are heading to the doctor this am to discuss why he is getting croup in the middle of summer!! Guessing it is allergies!! I am having a really hard time with Brayden being sick so often. This is the third Wednesday  we have spent at the doctors office in a row!! I feel like we live there!! Some day soon he will be better!!!

Enough about that!! Brayden got his final tooth over the last week!! We will have no more teething for a long time!! YEAH!! Brayden is becoming very polite, he says "please", "thank you", "sorry"  and "scuse me" all the time. Including this am while we were cuddling he said "scuse me" and pushed me away so he could cartoons in peace!! Silly boy!! We currently have no living room furntiture for a few weeks and Brayden is loving having a huge playroom, he e is definately not going to be a fan of the new furniture after this. It was funny though, Donny and I loaded the furniture in his truck on Sunday and took it to its new home and Brayden spent all afternoon looking for it in Donny's truck!!

Brayden has always been a sweet cuddly little guy, but he is finally saying I LOVE YOU regularly!! It is one of the best things in the whole world to hear!! We love him too!!!

Brayden's new favorite thing is swimming, he can't get enough of the water, he wakes up asking to swim and is doing great going under the water, kicking his feet, splashing and jumping into the water!! We will be doing swim lessons in the fall to keep up his love for the water!! Our goal is to  keep him from developing another fear of the water!!

He gets SILLIER by the minute!

Our little guy is CRAZY!!! He loves to do anything silly!! He watches everything everyone does and then tries to do it himself. He also loves to wear other people's shoes around the house and see how and if he can walk with them all. He runs everyone he goes, he seems to always be in a hurry!! He has started playing football in my living room, which is going to get crazy because our living room furniture is moving on this weekend and we will be without furniture for a few weeks so our entire living room will be up for grabs!! It will be a giant playroom for a short while!!!

For the past few days Brayden has talked about swimmingg constantly!! He can't get enough water that is for sure. He has a "Cellulitis" on his elbow his week, and had to go to  the doctor and get cream and antibiotics to fix it, so we didn't go to the pool like normal. Thank goodness it worked with oral antibiotics. It was amazing to see it go from so bad to so good with only 1 days worth of antibiotics. All of this could of been due to a bug bite, but we will never know for sure. I am sure that he will have a pretty bad scar after all of this, I guess there are worse places to have scars!! He was such a champ through it all, never acted like it bugged him at all!! He is continuing to be excellent at taking his medications and I feel like he is forever taking some sort of medicine!! Poor kid!!

The Olympics have been on this weekend, and Brayden is enjoying the swimming and diving events, he seems to get excited about it anyway!! He does love TV though, so who knows!!

Water Boy!!

Brayden went swimming with daddy yesterday and had on a swimsuit with floaties in it, and he was able to kick and move his arms enough to get about 6 feet across the pool all by himself!! He jumped in with daddy and went under the water and loved it all!! He is a water boy!!!

He is talking better than ever, repeating everything and talking primarily in sentences!! The other day Donny was frustrated because Brayden was whining and crying over nothing and Donny said "For goodness sakes", and Brayden said it back to him, that went over like a lead balloon for sure!!

Brayden is still really into baseball, and has been playing on his t-ball set all by himself, and hitting the ball halfway across our yard!! Pretty good for a 2 year old!!!

He is loving playing xbox with daddy now especially the racing game!! He is also finally giving kisses to mommy!! When I ask for one and sometimes just because!!
