Friday's off!!!

I have had or will have quite a few Friday's off this month, and I can't lie, it has been great!!! It always seems like just a fun day, no housework, just fun things involved!!! Brayden loves going to the open gym on Friday mornings, so the day starts early, then it is followed by whatever other fun things I can find to  do for the day!!

He is such a big boy and so much fun to hang out with I just can't help it!! He loves his 1 on 1 time with either one of us!!

Brayden and Donny start swim lessons on Tuesdays next week!! Brayden is so excited to swim again so we will see how this goes!! If everything goes well I plan on putting him in private lessons next time so mom or dad don't have to get in!!! Brayden's goal is so to down the big slides at the pool this summer because he is finally tall enough!! Time will tell!!!

 

 

 This was his favorite new thing to do, he would hang from the bar and then kick his legs and swing into the foam pit!! Daddy said if he could hang for 15 seconds he could get a new Skylander, so of course he will do anything for a new toy and managed to get it done!! He is so funny on the balance beams, he walks sideways all by himself, but he keeps asking me to show him how to walk forward, but he doesn't try it!!!!



School Pictures

At the start of the school year, yes way back in August Brayden had pictures taken at school, this is the first time he has ever been there for picture day so I didn't know how it worked!! Well Donny brought them home yesterday!! They are not bad, maybe I just think he is so cute there is no bad picture!!! #proudmommy!!!

 

Brayden got his haircut and this time with bribery intact he was great, he was talking with the lady and making faces at her in the mirror!! Successful once again, I think we may have this one down, my only question is how long will I be buying toys for haircuts!! He obviously has this figured out!!!

Brayden has been into stuff animals lately, not sure why he just likes to carry his bears around and one even sleeps with him and his blankets!!

 Birthday treat!!! He is still a mommy's boy!!!

Stirrrrrr Crrrrrrazy!!

We are all going Stir Crazy around here with this awful winter we have had!!! We have had record  snow of colds and record breaking amounts leading to lots of time trying to entertain ourselves in the house. Brayden has not enjoyed taking time out of his day to learn anything like writing so we are constantly bargaining for a little learning writing times. This weekend I had a 4 day weekend and we were bound and determined to spend as much time away from the house as possible. We went to open gym at the gymnastics place with a friend, to the store for a new toy, to a mommy/Brayden lunch, and then to a friends house to play!! We shopped today and then are now getting yet another snow storm!!!!

 Brayden is really into Lego Movie right now, he knows all of the characters from the movie and loves to talk all about it!! He talked us into a Lego Movie shirt this week to wear to school and was so excited to hear people compliment him on his shirt all day!!!

Brayden told me this week while working on his letters that "Ok, I am not a good drawer, call someone who cares"!!! I sure hope teachers have better luck teaching him!! This is about the extent of what happens when we write, he draws robots!!!!! Good thing I didn't pick teaching as a career!! 

Time to work on WRITING!?!

I am actually kind of surpised that he will still cuddle with me. I keep making him spend a few minutes making letters and recognizing letters throughout the day! He really has no interest past the letter "B" which he can find anywhere!! Not sure why he doesn't want to write but I got to get this kid at least a little interested!!! We will continue to write and recognize letters everyday till he can write his name!! I asked my sister who is a teacher for some pointers, but I don't think this mommy was made to be a teacher for anyone under the age of 18!!! Hopefully he still likes me next week!!

 

This is in Brayden's new playroom in the basement!! He loves the shelves because they are big enough to fit him and I love them because they will hold a lot of toys!!! It works well!!

 

We made the crayon and candy robots for each kid in Brayden's class, treat bags with his Valentines and he still talked Daddy into stopping at the store in the morning for Chocolate Sprinkle cookies!! I think Brayden likes Valentine's day too!! The kids were all sugared up and still got a nap after the party in the morning!!! I don't know how they do it!!

We are ready for Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Day is almost here!! We, well really me, are excited this year!! Brayden's class is having a party and since we don't go on Monday's we always miss the sign up and I am left to come up with something GREAT on my own!! This is what I came up with this time!!! Brayden would not help me make them but after they were done he couldn't keep his hands off of them!! Donny thought it was hilarious, so we will see what the kids in his class think for the final answer!! I sent a picture to a friend and her little boy made my day when he knew it was a robot!! It's just a start to my crafting days I hope!! A fun project for sure!! I also added pictures of his teachers cards and Donny's card! (Donny already saw his because Brayden and I hid it and when Donny walked in the door Brayden told him we made him a surprise and where it was!!!) 

 

 This is my favorite warm cuddly blanket and Brayden found it!! I hardly ever get it anymore!!

Need to move somewhere warm already!!

We are done with this weather!!! We are planning a trip to California again in May but we want to get away from this weather! It has been an awful winter full of snow and ice and a "Polar Vortex"!! We are sick of being in the house and need to get outside without freezing!!

We went to a bowling birthday party for one of the kids in Brayden's class!! He had a lot of fun! He loves to bowl and also loves to have other kids his age around to play with!! We bowled for 90 minutes and didn't even get through 1 full game! It was difficult to keep up with them and their turns but overall a good party!! The party was in the afternoon and Brayden was tired and actually almost fell asleep during cake and did fall asleep on my shoulder on the way out!! Every birthday party we go to he gets more excited about his birthday party for all of his friends!! Should be a good party!!

Brayden is really into dancing right now! He was dancing while bowling and also danced at the Lego Movie last night. We went to see the new Lego Movie because he is really into Legos right now and he got up from his seat and danced a few times throughout!! It is hilarious to watch, and of course we encourage it and try to show him fun moves to do!!

 

We made Valentines Cards today for daddy and Brayden's teachers! I asked him who he wanted to make cards for and that is who he came up with. We also got Valentines and treat bags ready for his friends in school. He loves to be able to share things with the kids in his class!! I will have to get pictures of his cards and post later!!
