Disneyland 2013

We just got back from Disneyland for Brayden's 3rd Birthday!! We had so much fun, there is so much do in the area and it is all related to kids!! It truly was a vacation all geared towards him!! I feel very fortunate that we were able to do this with him already!!!

It all started with getting up really early and going to the airport for the first plane ride!! On the way there he did amazing, he was awake all the way to the airport, pulled his luggage all the way from the parking lot to the check in. We got on the airplane and he slept 3 of the 4 hour ride. The other hour was good!! What a champ!! There was only 1 other kid on the flight and he was ride across the isle from us so after the plane landed and we were stuck on the tarmac Brayden shared his rescue bots with this little boy and they sat in the isle and played!! He shared his brand new favorite toys, what proud parents we were then!! Then the real fun began. Uncle Dan picked us up at the airport and we were off for 4 days of fun!!! 

We did Goofy's Kitchen for Brayden's birthday dinner and he loved it!! Characters were all over the place and came to see him throughout dinner so finally a peaceful dinner for us too!! We swam at the pool, went to the beach, went to Disneyland and Adventure land, Downtown Disney, saw fireworks, water and lights show, and parades!! How much fun could a 3 year old have in 4 days!! I think we were all maxed on fun for sure!!

 By the end of the trip Brayden was quite the flirt. He found girls to flirt with on rides and ofcourse they all thought he was cute and he loved that!! He loved Snow White and Minnie Mouse was his favorite!! We went to Goofy's Kitchen to eat twice because he said that was his new favorite restaurant, and it wasn't McDonalds so were excited!! He also loved roller coasters!! The only ride he asked to ride twice was the  roller coaster in Toon Town at Disneyland!! He probably would of rode it 10 more times if we would of let him!!
Brayden woke up one morning and told us that this was "the best Birthday ever"!! That was all we needed to hear to know that this is all worth it!! Here are a bunch of pictures from the trip!!!

 

Happy Mother's Day to Mommy!!

Mother's Day weekend was packed full for us!! We had a birthday party, playing outside, shopping, brunch with the grandma's and grandpa, packing, work, and family time!! This is the last weekend before vacation so of course we were busy, but overall we had a great weekend. Brayden made a few things for me at school and they are going to give me so many wonderful memories!! I love that they always make things for us using their handprints, so it is easy to compare from one year to the next!! Pictures of my new art pieces are below!!

Brayden is definitely growing up and becoming defiant, he will push us sometimes pretty far, just to see what happens next! We have started putting things on the fireplace when he is not nice and surprisingly his fits are getting  better and easier to manage! Everyone says welcome "3's" they are worse than "2's" but truly every age has its difficulties and even more importantly its fun times!!

This week should be interesting Brayden is telling everyone he sees that he is going to Mickey's house for his birthday, and then continues to talk about it as long as they will listen!! He can sure carry on a conversation these days!! We are able to go to the store and he shows me everything he thinks he should get for his birthday!! Today we found out that his cousins from Minnesota are coming to his birthday party and he couldn't wait for them to get here either!! He is going to have so much fun over the next two weeks I am not sure I can handle it!!

and I am sure there are many more that I just can't think of right now!! Now lets just get through work tomorrow and I will be ready to go!!!

Finally time pedaling his bike!!! Yeah!!! Maybe he is ready for a BIG BOY BIKE as he would say!!!

 

This morning when Brayden woke up he told me to stay in my room and he would be right back. He came right back because he had to go potty and when I asked him what he was doing he said "Just moving the chair so I can have some cookies for breakfast"!! He said this to me like it was no big deal and it was normal for him to have cookies for breakfast. I was trying hard not to laugh. I told him we don't eat cookies for breakfast, and his reply was "Hurry get me a pop tart so I can have some cookies"!! That's my boy!! We have started the COUNTDOWN!!!

We wake up every morning and have to tell Brayden how many more days till Disneyland, or his birthday!! He is so ready to go!! I am getting more and more anxious about the plane ride, but hopefully a few new toys that he really wants and wanting to go to "mickey's house" will make 4.5 hours go much smoother. Time will tell, it is almost here finally!!

We have been outside every chance we got this past week, and the weather has been beautiful!! Brayden has been perfecting his scooter riding skills, and doing an excellent job I might add!! He goes down the driveway on it, and freaks me out, but does a GREAT job!! He loves the lawnmower and wants to be big enough to use it!! It is going to be a while for that though!!

We went to the park this am for a good friends little guys birthday. We got McDonalds for a picnic and everything was great except for the start where Brayden peed his pants! He hasn't peed his pants like this ever!!! I was lucky that I had the diaper bag, which I don't always bring anymore, which had a pair of jeans in it!! Silly boys, he doesn't want me to get use to anything, and getting use to a potty trained toddler has been very easy for me!! Here a picture of three moms with 4 kids and they were all sitting on the blanket like little angels!! I had to snap a picture because no one would ever believe it!! The kids were really good and had lots of fun!!
