The last few weeks have been a whirlwind around here!! We had Brayden's very last day at the Growing Place, where he has been for just over 5 years!! It was a really happy day for him, but a bittersweet day for me!! I missed so much of his time there with my long hours at work that since May I have enjoyed this part of his world!!! He took snacks and said his good byes but has been very interested in going back to say hi every chance he gets!!! He definitely has learned a lot there and they have helped make him into the little man he is today!!! Many thanks are given to them there!!!
The next day we left on a quick getaway to Florida!! It was a blast, such a good family time we had on Marco Island, and we can't wait to go back!! Both of the kiddos did so well we will be going on vacation regularly!! We spent lots of time in the pool and ocean and just being outside!! The kids loved the resort and all of the restaurants it had to offer!! Nolan is eating anything he can get his hands on these days and loving every second of it!! We didn't get too many pictures because both of our arms were busy with kids most of the trip, and as long as we all had lots of fun and memories that is all I can ask for!!
We got home in time to spend a few days with our big guy before kindergarten started!! His last day before he started his journey into school Brayden and I hung out all day!! We had lunch, played at the park, played video games, went for icecream, went grocery shopping for lunch and snack foods, and anything else his little heart desired to do!!!
In our time off we also went to meet his new teacher twice. The first time it was just her and us, where we dropped off school supplies, were introduced to his room, and walked around the school a little. We then went to an ice cream social for the whole school on Monday night. This time Brayden got to see some of the kids that were in his class, get a free book, and play on the playground!! ALL of the practice must of helped because his first morning off to school was a HUGE SUCCESS!!! It was hard on mommy though!! I dropped him off and wanted to go back and pick him up 2 hours later!!! I am sitting here waiting to pick him up with a list of questions in my head a mile long!! I can't wait to hear all about it!! I am hoping that he was able to open his lunchable, hoping snack was enough and that he was able to do fit everything into his day!!! I will post all of his school pictures and about his day as soon as I find out just how awesome his day was!!! He walked away from us, looking a little overwhelmed but never looked back, he stood strong, stronger than mommy did for sure!!! I just wish I could watch him from afar and make sure everything he needed he figured out!!!
