Merry Christmas!!!

We had such an amazing Christmas Day!!! For the first time since we had kids we spent the whole day at home most of which was in pajamas opening presents and playing!!! It was all about what the kids wanted, no travel and no doing anything they didn't want to do!!!! Brayden woke up and starting sorting presents right away!!! We are pretty sure he unwrapped 90% of them but Nolan snuck in a few rips of the paper!! They have played well together all day!!! They even tried out a good portion of their presents!!! 

Nolan had his first high temp and real illness this week!! We took him to the doctor after 3 days of a 104 fever, and it was just something viral so no treatment!!! Luckily he is better and no one else has ended up with a fever this far!!! I had forgotten how sad it was to have a sick little baby!! He's a trooper but it was rough!!! Nolan is starting to repeat everything we say!!! His favorite words seem to be: more, all done, hi, mama, dada, and more that I can't think so right now!!! 

Brayden has been off school and didn't want to go to daycare so we have been creative!! Trevor, daddy, and grandma have watched him so far!!! Next week both boys go to grandma and papa's house for two night then mommy is off for 5 days!!! He's loving it for sure!!! As the room mom for Brayden's class we had his Grinch holiday party!!! He had so much fun planning it and being a part of it!!! Daddy and him played with the slime we made for the party!!! A successful party but they are a lot of work!!!

I wish I could STOP Time

Nolan is growing faster than I could ever imagine!!! I wish every time I hold him to put him to sleep to stop time so he just stays little a tad longer!!! He went to the doctor today and his one year stats are:    23 pounds 5 ounces 76% and 30 inches long 50%!!! He sure did catch up from birth in a year!! Tonight was a big night for him too!!! He took his first step to his mommy Ofcourse!!! I was so excited that I think I scared him and he fell down, but I was so happy to get to be a part of it!!! We were all right there to witness!!!  We also put up the Christmas tree which he seemed untouched by!!!  He liked playing with the big box but was otherwise uninterested at this time!!! Maybe I won't have to put all of the ornaments in the middle or top of the tree!!! Nolan is pretty much off bottles except for at night before bed, and is tolerating whole milk very well!!! I need to get the last bottle gone but I love that he falls asleep in my arms every night so I just am not ready!!! Nolan is transitioning to just one nap a day at daycare nicely!! They like it because they get a solid 3 hour nap out of him that way!!! They just say during lunch he almost falls asleep while eating!!! Nolan will eat almost anything you put in front of him, the complete opposite of Brayden!!

Well my little baby is not such a baby anymore I guess!!! I am not ready to admit it though!!!! He turned 1 yesterday and had such a great day!!! He loved the new toys and the cake, which you will see was a huge success!!! He's had a cough sometimes sounds croupy sometimes congested but no temps and sleeping well at night so I'm guessing it's something viral!!! Nolan is very particular when it comes to who holds him and is pretty much just daddy and mommy!! He went to papa for a minute and Aunt Karshawn got him for a minute twice but that's about all!!! He loves his brother and other kids a ton too!!! He is not walking yet and really would prefer to be held still!!  We have been trying to get away from bottles and so far are good through the day but he wants one when he wakes up and at bedtime!!!! He likes sippy cups but they go to fast when he's tired!!! He still loves to eat but still has just 2 teeth but some how manages to chew up anything!!! Hoping his teeth come soon so he doesn't get bored with food!!! He starts in the toddler room Monday!! He loved it during his trial!!! He is transitioning with a friend so that has helped!! I have looked at his pictures from a year ago and can't believe how much he has changed!! Enjoy some pictures from his party!!!
