Time to work on WRITING!?!

I am actually kind of surpised that he will still cuddle with me. I keep making him spend a few minutes making letters and recognizing letters throughout the day! He really has no interest past the letter "B" which he can find anywhere!! Not sure why he doesn't want to write but I got to get this kid at least a little interested!!! We will continue to write and recognize letters everyday till he can write his name!! I asked my sister who is a teacher for some pointers, but I don't think this mommy was made to be a teacher for anyone under the age of 18!!! Hopefully he still likes me next week!!

 

This is in Brayden's new playroom in the basement!! He loves the shelves because they are big enough to fit him and I love them because they will hold a lot of toys!!! It works well!!

 

We made the crayon and candy robots for each kid in Brayden's class, treat bags with his Valentines and he still talked Daddy into stopping at the store in the morning for Chocolate Sprinkle cookies!! I think Brayden likes Valentine's day too!! The kids were all sugared up and still got a nap after the party in the morning!!! I don't know how they do it!!

We are ready for Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Day is almost here!! We, well really me, are excited this year!! Brayden's class is having a party and since we don't go on Monday's we always miss the sign up and I am left to come up with something GREAT on my own!! This is what I came up with this time!!! Brayden would not help me make them but after they were done he couldn't keep his hands off of them!! Donny thought it was hilarious, so we will see what the kids in his class think for the final answer!! I sent a picture to a friend and her little boy made my day when he knew it was a robot!! It's just a start to my crafting days I hope!! A fun project for sure!! I also added pictures of his teachers cards and Donny's card! (Donny already saw his because Brayden and I hid it and when Donny walked in the door Brayden told him we made him a surprise and where it was!!!) 

 

 This is my favorite warm cuddly blanket and Brayden found it!! I hardly ever get it anymore!!

Need to move somewhere warm already!!

We are done with this weather!!! We are planning a trip to California again in May but we want to get away from this weather! It has been an awful winter full of snow and ice and a "Polar Vortex"!! We are sick of being in the house and need to get outside without freezing!!

We went to a bowling birthday party for one of the kids in Brayden's class!! He had a lot of fun! He loves to bowl and also loves to have other kids his age around to play with!! We bowled for 90 minutes and didn't even get through 1 full game! It was difficult to keep up with them and their turns but overall a good party!! The party was in the afternoon and Brayden was tired and actually almost fell asleep during cake and did fall asleep on my shoulder on the way out!! Every birthday party we go to he gets more excited about his birthday party for all of his friends!! Should be a good party!!

Brayden is really into dancing right now! He was dancing while bowling and also danced at the Lego Movie last night. We went to see the new Lego Movie because he is really into Legos right now and he got up from his seat and danced a few times throughout!! It is hilarious to watch, and of course we encourage it and try to show him fun moves to do!!

 

We made Valentines Cards today for daddy and Brayden's teachers! I asked him who he wanted to make cards for and that is who he came up with. We also got Valentines and treat bags ready for his friends in school. He loves to be able to share things with the kids in his class!! I will have to get pictures of his cards and post later!!

Superbowl without our Bears!!!

We went to a Super bowl Party and had a lot of fun even though the game was slightly boring!! We were happy the Seahawks won at least!! Brayden played with some friends and got lots of energy out!!! There was a little baby there and Brayden really liked her, at first I thought it was because I was holding her but he cuddled with her, held her, kissed her, and even shared his blanket with her. It was so funny she was holding his blanket and of course putting it in her mouth and Brayden says to me, "Why she putting my blanket in her mouth?" I told him that is what babies do to explore things and he says "Can't she just use her fingers? come on baby Elly I don't want a wet blanket!!!" So sweet!! He also found blue cupcakes so of course we had to try those out!!!! If I could only get him to use a fork or spoon to eat stuff like that!!! Haha!

Basement fun!! Brayden is doing really well with his letters and starting to recognize at least those in his name!! Donny painted a BIG B on his playroom wall with the color blue he picked for the room and here is Brayden dancing he was so excited!!!

 This is us trying to keep ourselves busy with it being so icky outside!! We baked cookies, cupcakes and brownies and tried some crafts!! His attention span isn't so good right now so I have to be on my toes!! We also started picking stuff out for his birthday party because he wants to plan it "ALL MYSELF" he says!!
