Play Date!!

 

I love to hear how excited Brayden gets when other little kids come to his  house to play with his toys!! It is always something he looks forward too!! He comes up with stuff that he wants to do (the Halloween wreaths that you will see below) just so someone can come over to make one with him!! He is always talking about having all of the kids over in his class to play at his house, and I keep coming back with for your Birthday party!!

We had a sweet little girl over Friday because the field trip for daycare got cancelled we got to play all kinds of fun things at our house!! We played, made Halloween wreaths, ate a picnic at the park, and played at the park for a while too!! I had so much fun with them, but they sure do keep you on your toes!!! The Halloween wreaths were something Brayden saw on his Ipad and Pinterest helped with some ideas, but they turned our precious!! I think both of us mom's with cherish them!! Well, I looked at my phone and just had a bunch of random pictures left on my phone!! He is always doing something picture worthy, the trick is if I can catch him while he is still doing it!! He is FAST!!!

 

Brayden got a haircut this week, I took him this time and ofcourse offered him a toy if he went through with it without crying!! I am not sure if anyone remembers his last hair cut, but it was with daddy and was pretty eventful. It included multiple trips into two different hair cut places followed by a not so well behaved little guy getting hair cut!! I am proud to say this one went almost the best expected!! This lady took a few extra minutes to use the blowdryer and brush with powder to keep him comfortable he liked that!!

 

DEKALB VS SYCAMORE FOOTBALL!!!

Brayden loves going to the NIU Stadium and watching High School Football. This is his third year going and every year he is more fascinated. The past two years we have went with everyone from Donny's work and went out for Pizza before. The kids love it!! This time after the game we were walking out and Brayden was asking us if when he gets back everyone will cheer for him when he plays football?? He loves all the noise from the bleachers being stomped on and the bands playing, and the fans cheering. He also loves the candy from the concession stand. He gets all bundled up and cheers for his team!! There is a huge crowd for this game every year and everyone is dressed in orange and black or gold and black!! It is all very appealing to Brayden for sure!! He wants to know when he can play football?? Should be interesting!!

All About Brayden!

 

Brayden had his "ALL ABOUT ME" day at school this week. He made a poster, brought in chocolate cupcakes from his favorite cupcake store for snack, and brought in his favorite toys to show and play with the other kids!! It was a big hit with him for sure!! Here is a picture of his poster!!

Rough Week at our HOUSE!!

 

Well, its been a rough week of sickness and not sleeping at our house, but I hope to be better by tomorrow and start our normal fun again. It started last Saturday when Brayden had a small patch of what looked to be hives on his back. I didn't think much of it just put him in the shower and thought they would go away. He took a nap, woke up and after dinner they were covering his back. I gave him Benadryl hoping by morning he would be back to normal. He didn't even know they were there and was not itching them so I wasn't sure what to think. On Sunday we woke up to a kid covered in hives, they were everywhere except his arms and face. I called the doctor and started a every 4 hour regimen of Benadryl. That was an interesting day for sure. The next day we went to the doctor and got some Prednisone and the hives were completely gone in 3 hours!! AMAZING!!! I had no idea it worked that quick!! Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat, I thought it was because I hadn't been sleeping so I went to work like normal. I ended up achy and feeling sick, but I stuck out the day. Wednesday I was diagnosed with Strep!! Which is just great with a 3 year old on Prednisone!! Praying he will not get it!! THe best part of all of this is I did get an extra day with my silly little guy who didn't know he was even sick!! He talked the doctor into getting a toy out of mom since he was sick and told me "My doctor said I need a toy to get better" I really got set up on this one!! He also got special candy to have each time he took his medicine because it left an after taste in his mouth!! He came out pretty good I think!!

We got out his baby toys this week and he played and played with them like he had never seen them before!!

Not sure what to think about his future in golf, he kept calling it a bat, but he did hit the balls on the ground!! Neither of us play golf so his future isn't looking the best!! Donny and him have been practicing around the house this week, so maybe he will be a star someday!!!
