When does he stop???

Brayden is our little busy body, but we found a way to stop him at least for a minute and he loves it!!

Only at grandma's would he get a glass like this to drink out of!! He loved it and thank goodness it was plastic!!

He knows how to get what he wants!! Go straight to PAPA, he never says no!!

 Checking out the Ipad,  trying to figure out if he needs one or not, and he was telling daddy "come on it is my turn!" maybe we don't need one of these!!!

Don't tell the girls PAPA lets him play with whatever he wants when they are not around!! He set up a nice table, until he took one of the legs off!! That is what boys do right!!

Doing what he does best, Line up the cars then he drives over them with something bigger, sometimes he rides his own little car over them!! Never a dull moment around here!!

Loving the bubbles!! All in a days work for my little guy!! Not sure how he can fit so much into one day, but he can everytime!! He wears me out just watching him!!



Finding things to do!

This winter is going to be about...finding things to do. Not sure how it is going to go, but so far so good!! This doesn't mean much since we were outside at the park today, the day before Thanksgiving, in 60 degree weather!! It was marvelous!! Brayden is getting very creative too, so we should get ourselves in lots of trouble this winter!!

I got a phone call this week that Brayden will be moving up to the next room at daycare, such a fun but scary thing for me. They said that 4 of the kids will go, and most of which he has been with since he was 12 weeks old so it should be a smooth transition I hope!! I wanted them to wait till after their Christmas program, at first they were not going to, but in the end they will!! I am so excited to see him singing with the other kids this year!! (He probably won't even stay up there if he sees me walk in) He has been practicing his songs often at home!! Since he will be moving to the next room sooner than I thought I got to get motivated to potty train him!! I am hoping to do it before the first of the year!! He knows how to do it, but he is still fighting me some of the time!!

Cousins....

What a fun time we had when all of the boy cousins got together and went to a bounce house!! Donny's sister and I took 5 boys to the bounce house We all had fun and the boys were so good!! Brayden cried last night because we couldn't go back to the bounce place!! He loves to jump and to climb so that was a perfect day for him!! We hadn't been to one for a while and he definately did much better this time climbing than last time but, needs encouragement to believe he can really do it!! Brayden went on every bounce thing they had there at least once!! He just ran and ran!!! Fun day for all!!!

Courthouse Edition Party at Daddy's work

Brayden was pumped for the "Party" and he did pretty good minus he had to leave the ribbon cutting ceremony because he just kept clapping for nothing and since it was Veteran's Day as well clapping wasn't always appropriate!! Daddy took some really cool pictures of Brayden outside of the Courthouse with all of the flags up too!! Brayden also talked one of the Judges into letting him sit in his chair!! He now thinks he is not only the BOSS Of the HOUSE but also a Judge!?!? We surely are in trouble!!

Looooong Winter

It is getting COLDER!! I am thinking it might be a long winter, I don't like to be outside and freeze, and Brayden needs lots of encouragement to play inside too long!! I am wishing that we were a little closer to more things for toddlers to do to keep him busy. I need to start looking for some play dates and setting things up to keep our attention!! Brayden loves wearing his winter coat and jackets, and my hats, but will not have anything to do with his own winter hat or mittens!

As usual Brayden continues to grow faster than I could ever imagine!! He is singing songs and coming up with things we never thought possible. He is obsessed with MONSTER TRUCKS right now and talked Daddy and grandpa into taking him to see them in real life in February! That should be fun!!

I had Brayden's school conference this am and they had all kinds of good things to tell me about him except for that sometimes he has a problem listening.... (tell me something I don't know, right??) I held back laughter for the sake of the teacher being mad at me.

Last night I got home from my haircut and daddy and Brayden worked on a new phrase and when I walked in he told me "your beautiful"!! It was so rehearsed but so sweet! I sure do love that little guy!!!

Grandma bought Brayden a new book and it is a search and find from all of the Disney movies and he loves it and he does so good with it. We could play that for an hour!!

Almost 2 and 1/2?!?!

I have mixed feelings about this milestone, like I have with many others I am sure you are all thinking!! He is just getting so big and I am not sure I am ready for it!! I am trying I promise!!! He is now having conversations with us telling us exactly what he wants including "I don't want that" and "Go Away, leave me alone" which if you ask my parents they say I deserve!! It is so hard for me not to laugh at him because he is becoming so independent!! He is finally telling me when he is hungry and what he would like to eat, which is nice but includes only a few standard items like chicken nuggets and pizza, or cookies!! 

He lets the dog outside by himself now and lets him back in when he is ready. He is wearing big boy underwear on mommy's days off at home, but still wears diapers when we leave the house. He needs a lot of potty offering still but is doing pretty good for as strong minded as he is. We will be buying pull ups when we are low on diapers and see what he thinks of those.

He now remembers things that happened throughout the day and tells us about them when we ask about his day, sometimes it is hard to tell what happened but we have to start somewhere!!
He is currently obsessed with monster trucks, he took 2 of his from grandma's house, which he is not suppose to do, and they were in hands for 2 whole days till we took hers back and had to get a few of our own. He is able to negotiate a little with these days so that is making things easier!!
He is still not liking his big boy bed, and would much prefer sleeping with mommy and daddy!! (We kind of like having him close by, but we have not been sleeping well)
He is blowing his own nose these days, instead of crying he goes into the bathroom gets toilet paper, blows his nose, and then flushes it down the toilet. Then he comes running out needing to wash his hands quick!!! He is a little obessive about washing his hands and probably washes them about 50 times per day!!

I love all of these stages, but it makes me realize that he really is growing up!!

Happy Halloween!!

It's LIGHTENING MCQUEEN, who else!!! 

Ofcourse Brayden was Lightening McQueen for Halloween and he loved it!! He dressed up, Trick-or-Treated, the whole thing!!! The first house we went was our neighbor behind us, thanks goodness, because he walked right into the house!! Then they gave him a present, so I am sure when the next house gave him candy he couldn't figure out what was better!! He went to each house and said "Trick-or-Trick", "Happy Halloween", and "going to another house" . He followed most of the houses with "thank you"!! He did great, and he made it almost an hour and a half!! He walked almost the whole time, and by the end needed some help getting up the steps because his costume got a little heavy!!

Right after we left we got caught under quite a few geese leaving the pond and believe it or not the car got pooped on!! It was so GROSS, but it didn't stop him!!

This year he loved the candy, the present, and the costume!! He was not a fan of passing out candy to people coming to our house, and maybe even a little bit mad we were giving candy away!!
