I need.....

We went to get Brayden new shoes today because he is putting holes in the toes of all of his shoes because he uses his feet to push his bike and truck mostly!! I guess the concrete is pretty hard on little boys shoes, or should I say that little boys are hard on shoes!!!  Brayden does not like sandals at all, we haven't found a pair yet that he will allow on his feet! We don't know why, but hopefully as it gets warm he will let us put them on him!!

This morning he opened his soccer net from his birthday and he loved it!! He made me sit in front of it and then he threw the ball at me!! He is a funny boy for sure. His newest thing as far as talking is that he says "I need to do......" fill in the blank with everything you can imagine. He hardly ever says just one word at a time anymore!! Mr Vocal for sure!! This is one kid that definately knows what he wants and how to get it!!!

Using his words

Brayden is talking in sentences all the time, he is forever telling Donny and I what to do and what he wants to do!! He is also doing alot more imaginary play!! I love watching him pretend something is happening that is not!! He now pretends like someone specific is on the phone or the real  pirates are on his pirate ship!! He takes my hand and leads me to where he wants me to go and then tells me to sit so I can watch him!!

I think over the last few nights Brayden has had a few bad dreams!! He wakes up, kind of anyways, talking and sometimes says "all done mama", it breaks my heart, then he goes back to bed like it never  happened!! Everytime I want him to come down and cuddle with me, but he doesn't really like to sleep in our bed he would rather watch pirates or mouse, so we don't do it!!

On Monday our neighbor had his sprinkler system on and Brayden spotted it!! I couldn't get him to stop going in to it until it was turned off!! I guess he needs a sprinkler to play in this year!! We tried one last year but he didn't like it because the water was too cold!! He also on Monday woke up kind of grouchy after having shots and the only thing that I could get to cheer him up was to sit outside, eat, and watch a concrete truck work, he occupied him for 20 minutes, he was amazed!! The guys were laughing at him, but I just let him keep watching!! He sure does love BIG TRUCKS!!
Brayden continues to be an active little guy and really enjoys playing with other kids! The other night a family stopped by during a walk and the kids were so enticed by his toys that stopped for over an hour and played. Brayden shared all of his toys without help from mommy and daddy for the most part!! We were so proud of him!! They were mostly new toys from his birthday so we were not sure how it was going to go. The other kids loved his toys and he loved having them play with him, so it worked out well!!

2 year old visit

Brayden went to the doctor today for his 2 year old visit. He still remains to be a BIG BOY!!
He still remains a healthy boy and that is what is most important!! His latest stats are:

33 pounds 2 ounces- 90th percentile

36.5 inches long- 90th percentile

His Birthday Continued.....

Brayden had a great Birthday!! We continued the fun after daddy got home and went to the park, went for pizza and games for dinner and then ice cream for dessert!! Then his night was finished by Trevor "Bubba" stopping by to say Happy Birthday!! Here are a few pictures from the rest of the day!!!

Brayden is 2!!

He has been enjoying his birthday so far. He slept till after 8 today which never happens except for when I am anxiously awaiting him to wake up! He woke up talking about PAPA and wanting to call him so we did! He got to watch some cartoons then wanted to do something. We went to pick up his treats for school tomorrow and he wanted to eat the mickey mouse cookies right then!! Then we went to Target and I let him pick out a few new toys with a gift card he got, then we met daddy for lunch at McDonalds!! He got to play in the playground before he ate because we beat daddy there by a few minutes. For the first time he went into the playland by himself and actually found the slide! Then he didn't want to leave it, not even for chicken nuggets!! We came home and played outside for a little bit then it was obviously nap time, he was pretty grouchy at this point! More fun to come after nap time I am sure, who knows with this kid though!!
