Row, Row, Row your Boat

Oh my goodnes!! I might be crazy but Brayden picks up on things so quick. Today he sat down in the living room with a toy that sings songs when you flip to the page and Row, Row, Row your Boat was on, he shut the book, it stopped singing and he started singing ROW ROW ROW your BOAT!! Donny didn't believe me and then heard it for himself and was also very impressed. I can't believe how much like a sponge he really is!! He is 16 months going on 5 years I feel like!
We have almost got the evening nap eliminated completely. Only 1 time in the last week he has slept after his normal nap time at daycare!! YEAH!! He has also been sleeping a ton better at night so 15 grouchy minutes are worth it. It is so sweet because he likes to have a few minutes of quiet cuddle time with mommy which I absolutely love ofcourse!!!
His new love is kisses, well blowing kisses, and bubbles!! He loves his time in the bath tub because we let him have bubbles in the bathtub and he also has a toy that blows bubbles for him and they land on him and is able to pop them! He thinks that is the coolest thing ever!!

Here are a few random pictures from the past few days!!

Brayden spent the night at Grandma Pam's last night with her and Trevor. He seemed to do really well and it was easier of me this time too!! Donny and I went out to dinner for our Anniversary and it was great to have a night out. Pam sent us pictures throughout the night and Brayden was his usual busy body self. He wore Trevor out pretty quick, and Trevor fell asleep before Brayden. Brayden sure does like to be with Trevor, he even started saying Trevor's name yesterday which Trevor loved.
I took Brayden to a soccer game yesterday and after the game he had a soccer ball and kicked it all the way to the car. He was doing really well, we were all impressed.
This week Brayden started taking off his own diapers, taking off his shoes, and repeating everything. The hardest part with that is sometimes he doesn't say it to me right away so when he starts saying it I can't tell what work it is suppose to be exactly!! I am sure we will figure it out soon enough.
Donny and I figured out that when he wakes up at night he does not want us to pick him up unless he is standing in his bed, if he is still laying down he is trying to find his pacifier and goes back to sleep pretty quick. When he stands up that means that he wants to be picked up and he will not be falling back to sleep on his own easily. This has made our nights much easier lately, and our sleep quality is getting better by the minute!!  Yeah!!!!!

There is no such thing as a Predictable anything???

In our journey to have Brayden have only 1 nap per day we have decided that if daycare can do it, maybe we should try it their way. Brayden doesn't have a little table yet that is his size so he sits his chair and holds his bowl for snack time. This morning I filled up his bowl and he went to his chair and got in and I gave it to him and the pictures will tell the rest.

Truly never a dull moment with my little guy. Today we were outside enjoying every moment of the nice weather and Brayden has decided that he wants to drive and play in every available car. (thanks to Grandma Pam, Daddy, and Grandpa) When I realized he wans tall enough to reach the handle of my car I got a little nervous......

16 months Old

At 16 months old he will finally sit down at home to have a snack without being locked down, and he really enjoys it. I started giving him a bowl full of few different snacks and he will sit and eat every last one. It takes alot of thought, but he finishes the bowl.
Donny and I are trying to wean Brayden from his second nap finally. He has not been a very good sleeper lately and we are thinking that maybe it is because he is sleeping too much during the day. It is taking alot of extra attention but we have been pretty successful since we really declared that we were going to do it. It is challenging because he loves to sleep in the morning.
Brayden has also adjusted well to wearing long sleeves and jackets, he will come to us now to put his jacket on. I think it might be because he likes to go places and play outside more than anything in the world.
The last week of daycare has went really well. Brayden walks in by himself, smiling at all the rooms before his and then goes into his room and leaves Daddy behind and starts playing. No more crying, finally we made it!! He is also becoming quite the colorer. They give him paper and crayons all the time and then he brings the pictures home for Mommy!! I can't believe my little guy can color pictures already!!

New Toys.... New Clothes....

A few new toys...

I guess that Brayden gets bored with his toys as quickly as he grows out of clothes. I took Brayden to Target today and bought his some new toys that I guess he desperately needed!! Silly Mommy didn't get the memo that everytime I buy him clothes I need to buy him just as many toys!! Lesson learned, and I won't forget it again!!! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!!

GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!

This weekend has been all about football! I got home from work on Friday night and we took Brayden to his first high school football game, it was Dekalb vs. Sycamore game at NIU stadium. He just looked around and didn't know what to think about all of the people!! He did pretty good except when I would try to take a picture he would freak out and cry (which you will see below)!!
On Sunday we put Brayden's Bears jersey on and watched football with him, he likes it even more than last year!!Thanks to Uncle Daniel for the Bears jersey, it fits him prefect this year!!  He has learned to stomp his feet when he gets excited and just kept doing that!! He claps and stomps his feet again and again!! SOOO Cute!! We can't wait to take him to his first BEARS game!! Not sure what age will be a good but we will figure it out!! BEARS TOUCHDOWN AGAIN!!!
We finished Brayden's antibiotics and ear drops today, and he is acting like his ear feels much better, hopefully we don't keep doing this every month, poor little guy!!
Brayden is becoming quite the little climber these days, he will climb on anything we tell him not to, sometimes it is so cute I can't help but take a picture before I take him down.
Well, another week over and another week of growing complete. My little guy is not going to be my little guy for long!! He looks better to me every time I put new pictures up!!
