Walking......

We are in for it!!! I didn't know that 1 year olds have that look right before they do something that they know they shouldn't do!! Boy do they learn early!! Brayden gives me the cutest little smile look everytime he is about to do something he knows I tell him "No" for. I have tried to catch it on camera and haven't been quick enough yet. I will keep trying!!!
I worked a different schedule this week so I was away from him during the day for 3 days in a row and on my third day away Donny was at home with him by himself all day!! He did great except for he allowed him to start walking, I mean really walking, not just a few steps. He is everywhere. He still crawls alot, but he can WALK!!! It makes him look so big, I hate it. I get to spend four whole days with him in a row now, and I am positive that he will be mostly walking by the end of them.
This week Brayden hid his shoe from us in a drawer of a little decorative table we have. I love the shoes, but I guess he doesn't feel so good about them. Donny and I spent two days looking for them before we found them. He is struggling to get use to wearing shoes when he leaves the house, but is doing better. It amazes me how quick he can ruin a pair of shoes with all of the crawling he does!!
This week Donny said that when he drops him off at daycare he rushes to get down and play with his new friend!! He hasn't been crying when he leaves, which is good I guess!!
I just can't believe what changes at the age of 1. It is like they are no longer Mommy's little baby and become this independent little man that begins to function more and more every day on his own!! I would love to slow it down to get to enjoy just one more day of him being a baby!! He is so precious and just grew up way to fast!!!

Year Number 2 Starting Strong

Oh my goodness. Year Number 2 has started strong already. I just sent away for my little baby Brayden's first year blog book, and I think that I am denying that he is as big as he is still. Well he turned a year and I was surprised that he learned how to throw fits, well I had no idea that I was in for what I have been. HE IS EVERYWHERE!!! He is up on his tip toes to open cabinets that he couldn't get into before, he is climbing up on the fireplace mantel, he is moving things that are bigger than him, or at least trying!!! He is climbing on to his new cars and climbing off too without getting hurt and he gets so happy when he is sitting on there like he should, then he makes daddy push him around the house. He is walking where ever he wants to walk to and crawling because it is faster sometimes. He loves to be clapped for and if he hears someone clapping he is sure it is for him!!! WOW just wait till you read this 2 weeks from now if this much has changed in 1 week. I am in for something that I can't even fathom yet!!!!
He is sooo cute, take a look:

1 Year Stats!

Well, we went to the doctor yesterday for Brayden's 1 year visit. He did excellent as usual. He didn't cry for his shot and when we got home he couldn't figure out why he needed that bright colored thing stuck on him (the bandaid that is). He is still growing and everything is going well. Brayden was showing off how he stands and does things for the doctor. Dr. Goswami told me that he hasn't "met a boy like this one before" I think that means that he is one of the most amazing children out there because Dr. Goswami has been doing this for a while!! Ha, ha that is the mom in me I guess!!!

His latest stats are as follows:
32 inches long- 95 percentile
24 pounds 15 ounces- 75 percentile
Head is now 75 percentile (instead of 50th)

He sure is a big boy. We have had a great year and I can't believe it is over! He has grown up so fast and I just don't know where the year went. He is such an amazing little guy and Donny and I have been blessed with him and wouldn't changed anything!!!

Some cute pictures, trying out new toys!

Well, Brayden got soooo many amazing toys and clothes for his birthday that I thought I would post few pictures of him trying to play with some of them.
While we were at the Dells Brayden's 11th tooth broke through, he now has 3 of his molars coming in. We are hoping that the the rest of his teeth come in soon so we can enjoy the rest of the summer teething free!! We are not counting on it happening. I didn't realize how many teeth he had till I starting talking to other parents whose 1 year olds have 4 or 6 teeth!! It doesn't surprise me that we have an over-achiever on our hands.
We have made the switch to regular milk. He likes it but could honestly go without milk and bottles all together. We will be transiting him off bottles for good maybe this weekend, then I have 2 days with him, one day at work and then 2 more days off with him. We will see how that goes because at daycare there are mostly babies with bottles!! I am sure that they have handled this before and will know exactly what to do!!
Brayden is wanting to walk so bad. Yesterday he would try so hard every chance he got but we are still just getting a few steps at a time. I don't think it will be too long now. He is realizing how much more fun he will have when he walks.
Well here are a few more pictures. I will slow down on posting again, I promise!!

I just love this picture I found it on Donny's phone!!

I got the small version of this, and that will do for now

I wanted this for my birthday!!

He thinks he is tough!!

Love to be just like Daddy!!

Once again, I love anything that makes Mommy work!

I can make this one go for a second!!

Birthday Trip

For part of Brayden's birthday presents we thought that it would be fun to take him to Wisconsin Dells. We were right, we all had so much fun most of the time anyway!! We hope to make this a tradition for as long as we can do it at least!! This was first time he was in a pool and ofcourse he loved it. He liked it so much that getting him out of the water was a challenge sometimes. He learned at some point how to throw fits. Yes, I mean kicking and screaming, the good news was that he was easily distractable and they didn't last too long.
I will post a ton of pictures from the indoor waterparks, a dinner, a breakfast, an indoor playground that he loved, and his ice cream sundae that we had to celebrate on his actual birthday!!

The sliding door in the room didn't have a lock

He is still trying to figure out what this toy does?

I guess he was thirsty!

After a long day we let him have his pac while playing!!

I want it all, right now!!!!
