There goes the curve

Well today brayden went for his 6 month doctor visit and he broke the curve he had been traveling. Brayden is a big boy.
His stats are:
19 pounds 10 ounces (almost 90%, up from 75%)
28 inches long (95% still)
his head is in the 50% still.
The doctor said that he might of gained a pound more this time than he should of. He said that we need to cut back on the cereal a little. Once he starts crawling or walking he will be buring more calories too so not to worry.
He also got his shots today. He has been handling them pretty well so far. A little fussy, but tolerable.

Thanksgiving already!!

Well, we made it through our first Thanksgiving with a little one!! It was a challenge to say the least. It never fails that when the whole family gets together the baby is NOT Happy!!! Well we learned that his 5th tooth was yet the roughest one yet. He ran a fever of 102 and 101.5 two days in a row. I didn't know till after the fact that the tooth was breaking through. We are hoping to get a break with these teeth soon. Otherwise we might have the only 6 month old with 6 or more teeth! We are also hoping to have our little one sleeping a little better soon.
We put up the Christmas tree on Thanksgiving and Brayden sat in his exer-saucer the entire time and just watched!!! We never get that much time to complete anything!! The good news is that Christmas decorations are out for the year.
Brayden is learning so many fun things with his hands. He amazes himself anytime he picks something up and passes it from one hand to the other. It is soooo cute!! I just can't believe how fast he is still growing. You never know what the next day or night will bring.
Mo is teaching him how much fun paper can be
I can't believe how cool my hands and fingers are!!!

WOW, a tree in the house!!!

6 months

Why can't I go outside and Play?? Get me outta here!!

Daddy will let me try anything once

Wow, these last 6 months have went so fast, I don't even know where to start. I was thinking about how much he has changed over the last 6 months and can't even start to imagine what we are in for over the next 6 months.

Brayden is half way done with so many things like:

Formula

Sanitizing bottles all the time

Growing out of clothes every 3 months

Being in the infant room at daycare

Getting pictures every 3 months
This makes me so sad, I can't believe that he is not going to stay little forever. He is already wanting to be down playing on the ground more, which means less holding him.

We got his 6 month pictures back yesterday and they turned out soo cute. He had some with his cousins and they turned out cute too, but I never realized how hard it would be to have 3 kids 3 and under smile for a picture at the same time. Ha, ha. Oh well, we caught some great shots of their real personalities. I will share the pictures as soon as she gets them online.
Brayden is still enjoying his tummy time, and now he can lift his butt off the ground but not at the same time that he holds his upper body up. I can guess that he will put them both together soon and then we will off be off and running. Daycare says that he justs sits back and watches the other kids at daycare, so I am positive that he is taking it all in.

Brayden sits in front of the sliding glass door and just looks outside. He was enjoying being outside so much until it got cold. He hits the window and just doesn't understand why he can't be out there all of the time.

"DA, DA, DA, DA"

Well everyone says that babies all say DADA first and Brayden is no exception. He started saying Da, Da this week and it just makes me more anxious for him to say Ma, ma. He has also decided that his exersaucer is his new favorite toy. He can twirl all around in it and it entertains him for at least 30 minutes if he is not hungry.

We did 6 month pictures today with Brayden and his cousins Isabella and Maddie. The pictures were exhausting with 3 kids. Donny and I thought that by age 3 pictures would be quick and easy. Boy were we wrong. We know now why parents quick having pictures took. We got some really cute ones of everyone though. We had our first family picture taken to put on Christmas cards. Can't wait to see them.

He also decided this week that he wants his favorite blanket with him when he eats and when he sleeps. He loves the silky side of the blanket to be touching his face and head.

He still continue to grow every week so here are a few recent pictures with all of his favorite things!!

Daddy got 3rd place in dodgeball and
I got to wear his metal

A few more firsts

Another big week for Brayden. I can't believe how fast he is growing. This week we decided that we would buy his first big carseat and see how he did. We bought it last night and haven't had him in it in the car yet but we practiced in the house. Hopefully he will like it better, but who knows.

On Thursday I saw that he was getting his third tooth. On Friday it broke through on the top. Now he has three teeth. This one was quick but explains the symptoms he had been having.

We've been getting ready for his 6 month pictures this weekend since they are only 1 week away. He has three adorable outfits to wear and a new hat similar to the one in the pictures I will post but not quite. He loves hats so much we just can't help but buy them. We are hoping to get a few cute pictures to send out on Christmas cards!!

Brayden is starting to put his arms out if he wants you to pick him up. When I get home from work he will put his arms to me so I will take him from daddy. It breaks my heart and makes me miss him even more.

He wants to be mobile soooo bad, he is doing really well sitting and also does really well holding himself up on his arms, but his but just doesn't get off the ground much. We are in no hurry so hopefully he takes some time to figure it out.

First Halloween

Well, our first Halloween with a little one is already over. He didn't mind his costume and had it on for most of the day without a problem except that it was a little warm. Donny and I are afraid that he will expect toys every Halloween when he trick or treats since he got toys everywhere we went this year. Like he is not already spoiled. Ha, ha.

Brayden and I were home alone for a little while during trick or treating and ofcourse tons of kids were coming to the door then. He sat on my lap right by the door and watched all of the kids come up and get a treat in their bags. He didn't know what to think about what was happening but he thought it was fun. All of the parents were laughing and telling him he was cute, which he loved ofcourse. Here are a few pictures of him in his costume.
