Spring, spring come back!!!!

Our weather has been crazy all winter, definitely more mild than expected with bursts of amazing mixed in, very little snow, and very few really cold days!!!! We can't complain, but I am very ready for spring, then summer!!! I think this may be the reason we planned a impromptu vacation to California like 2.5 weeks before we leave!!!! We are so excited to get away, but I have a lot to do to plan for a 4 hour plane ride!!! We are not really sure what we are going to do while we are there, but hope to get a few things in that each boy wants to do, and some quality family time with Donny's sisters family!!!! I have a day off before and 4 after we get back so I hope to be well rested when I return to work!!! 

Nolan is full of words and sass!!! He knows what he wants and when he wants it!! He makes us laugh and crazy all at the same time!!! He is full of cuddles and very sweet!! He still doesn't have his 2 year old molars, but his I teeth are finally in!!! He's starting to interested in what he wears and loves when we let him wear Nike like his brother!!! He loves to play games like Ker-plunk, Don't Break the Ice, Hungry hungry Hippos, and Pop the Pig!!! We spend hours playing them, setting them up and making a mess, and then cleaning them up!! Nolan's new favorite show is Mickey Racers!!! We bought him a beach towel from the Disney store and he's been using it on the floor in the living room!! Nolan's new favorite food is spaghetti, he eats enough for two!!

Brayden is almost to Spring Break of his first grade year, I can't believe how fast it's went!!! He is doing very well!! We are planning his first field trip to Russell Woods, he's excited both mom and dad are coming!!! Basketball ball season came to an end!!! He has loved playing, and done very well!! We have 2 more indoor soccer games then we switch to outdoor in April!!! His footwork has improved drastically so we are excited to see what he does in outdoor!!! Brayden is very into clothes right now, sporty clothes that is, and picking his outfits out for all of his sporting events!! We are looking forward to our short break in between seasons!!! Brayden watches the Warriors basketball team every chance he gets!! He wanted to go see a game when we were in California but it's a long drive to get there, so maybe next year!!! He and daddy talk back and forth about basketball every day!!

Took a while, but hopefully we stay healthy

I always make sure to get the flu shots for all of us!!! They have always worked till this year!!!! I'm pretty sure myself and the boys all had the flu, although Nolan was the only one that was tested and treated within hours of his first fever!!! We made it through thank goodness, but next year it's going to be hard to convince Brayden to get a flu shot after he had fevers for 9 days!!! I get it a shot and you are sick that long, and out of sports for 2 weeks!!!

Brayden is reading books better than I ever imagined this year!! I am so proud of him!!! He wants to go on vacation so bad we just might go on a quick trip to Florida for his birthday!!! I have almost convinced Donny!!! Yeah!!! Brayden has been playing indoor soccer, it has helped his foot work so much!!! It's a fast paced game so it's hard to get pictures because they are all over, but he really seems to like it!! It also has a goalie, which he has really learned to love playing that position!! He's also really loved picking outfits for the games, and buying new outfits!!! This kid could change clothes ten times a day if we let him, it drives us crazy, but oh well!!! The weather has been amazing this year, so we have been outside more than the usual winter, but are so ready for spring/summer!! Brayden lost his 7th tooth this week, he yanked it out all by himself, then immediately started shopping for a specific pair of soccer shorts online spending the $20 he hoped to get from the tooth fairy!! Lastly Brayden had his first spring sing this week!!! He was very nervous, didn't want to go, but went and made mommy happy!!! It's definitely not in his future to be a performer for anything but sports, but very fun to watch!!! Grandma Pam came too and then we made it through dinner at a favorite pizza place of ours!!!

Nolan is into his 2's!!! The throwing himself on the floor fits have stopped, he still gets a little temper but he's easy to distract!!! He talks well, so we can listen to the problem and calm him!!! He's becoming easier to take to restraunts too, which is a plus!!! Grandma Pam watched him and Brayden this weekend so Donny and I could go buy a car 2 hours away (because it was the only one with tv's for the boys)!! They had fun, he's becoming more independent and has warmed up to her finally!!! Grandma had all 4 grand kids in town at one time!! He's growing up faster than I ever wanted!! His favorite breakfast right now is Apple Jacks and milk, he even drinks the milk when the cereal is gone!! Last night he was eating nachos, he will try many more things than his big brother ever would!!! Nolan still continues to drive his brother crazy by wanting everything he has or wants!!! Brayden handles it well for a while!!! This week Nolan learned that he can open the gate and go up stairs all by himself, then he yells "just going upstairs to see bubbah!!" Guess it's time to get rid of the gate!! He's frequently going potty in the "toilet", wakes up with a dry diaper and goes potty in the morning!!! I should start potty training but I am just not ready for him to grow up!! One of Nolan's new favorite things is going to Culver's on Magic Matt day to get a balloon creature made!!! Last week he woke up in the morning saying he wanted Magic Matt to make him a Mickey Mouse, which he did and was a very happy little guy!!

Sickness going around the house

I was sick last week, it doesn't happen often but I was down for the count for 3 days!!! This week Brayden ended up with a fever!! Nolan and Donny have some congestion but they are tough!!! It's the cough that gets you with this virus going around!!! Brayden missed 2 days of school and Ninja class so far, but with a fever of almost 102 he thinks he's going to basketball tomorrow!!! I got a call from Brayden's principal today to let me know that he is Student of the Month!!! I called and told him and he was so excited!!! So proud of our big guy!!! We are looking forward to a relaxing and healing weekend!!!

Sports, sports, and more sports!!!

I swear that I live with 3 boys that only think about sports!!! We have a 6 foot basketball hoop in our living room and a hockey rink in our basement!! It is all sports all the time!! It is no surprise to have balls coming at you all night long!! We then have soccer and basketball practice and games every week!!! Along with the sports come the clothes and shoes that you must have to play!!! Brayden changes his clothes multiple times per day, and plans ahead for what he will wear for his next event!! Brayden has shoes for everything, LeBrons, Curry's, Reynoldos, Messi's, to name a few!! Every basketball player that has his own shoes makes a new pair or a new color weekly that he needs!!! I need to keep Nolan little for as long as possible!!!!

Nolan does love sports too, and loves doing whatever his big brother does so I am in for big trouble!!! But as far as right now goes he is interested in going potty in the "toilet" when he wants to and not having to wear a diaper!! Tigger and Pooh and Mickey Mouse are his favorite shows on his iPad or our phones!! For breakfast he is only interested in eating cereal with milk and drinking the milk after!! He's growing up too, but I'm in denial!!

We had my work Christmas party last weekend and Brayden had a blast. There were lots of people there so Nolan was attached to us most of the time!! Brayden played for hours with all the kids!!!

Boys... never a dull moment!!

We enjoyed our time off from extra extracurricular activities, but they are back in full swing!!! Brayden now has 5 days/nights of activities to keep us busy!!! I am also wanting to put Nolan in swim lessons to add to the excitement!!! We've had some crazy weather in January this year with some days in the 50's, and really no snow!! I'm pretty sure Brayden thinks spring started already, he thinks he can lose the winter coat already!!! Nolan loves gloves and hats so he might be sad when spring comes!! 

Nolan is talking up a storm, he's using the potty when he wants to especially in the morning on school days!! He has a morning routine which includes breakfast in the car, and telling mommy every time we get close to daycare that "I'm not ready yet mommy" meaning he's ready to scarf down his breakfast before going inside!! Once we go inside he tells me where he wants to wash his hands, then we talk about our evening plans, so he has something to look forward too!!! Our routine makes drop off smooth and my day much better!! I am the only mom that spends 20 minutes at the daycare each day, but if it works I'll take it!! Nolan's fits are much improved and we can begin to reason with him so times are getting easier!! Brayden wants to go to California this spring so we are trying to decide if Nolan is ready for the flight!!!

Brayden is playing basketball, indoor soccer and still taking ninja class!! He's a busy guy for sure!! He loves sports and all the new clothes and shoes that go along with it!!! He is becoming very fashionable in sports clothing and likes to pick out his own outfits and change 20 times per day!!! He sure is a sports guy!!

Brayden is doing well in school, is reading very well and liking the history part of learning!! He remembers everything he hears or reads so he is reminding Donny and I of things we learned back in grade school!!
These boys definitely keep us on our toes, and never bored!!!
